FOR NONPROFITS
To access often hard-to-find funding for third-party costs that support exploration and implementation.
To normalize and accelerate conversations around collaboration throughout the sector.
To support leaders interested in sustained collaboration who are often operating in extremely challenging conditions.
To bring leaders together in addressing the complex challenges currently facing the nonprofit sector in Massachusetts and beyond.
From idea to impact, our process is designed to be efficient, practical, flexible and strategic for nonprofits.
About UsThe grant process begins with confidential conversations with the Initiative Manager and the participating nonprofit organizations. These discussions help assess readiness to explore a potential collaboration and determine whether the organizations are prepared to move forward.
Based on the initial conversations with the nonprofit organizations, a completed application will be reviewed by MassCollab. This due diligence will consider each organization’s mission, financial considerations, and the collaboration's goals.
MassCollab grants can fund costs associated with the exploration or implementation of collaboration. Exploration grants support the development of a formal timeline, business model and implementation plan, with funds directed to third party costs such as legal, financial or consulting services. Implementation grants can provide resources to execute the plan including third party costs where necessary.
