FOR NONPROFITS

Helping Nonprofits Collaborate

MassCollab helps nonprofits to explore and implement collaborations to drive more impact and sustainability. The Massachusetts Nonprofit Collaboration Fund was established after roughly two years of extensive research, conversations, and collaboration. Today we include funders from across Massachusetts and the country.

MassCollab is a Unique Opportunity for Nonprofits:

icon

To access often hard-to-find funding for third-party costs that support exploration and implementation.

icon

To normalize and accelerate conversations around collaboration throughout the sector.

icon

To support leaders interested in sustained collaboration who are often operating in extremely challenging conditions.

icon

To bring leaders together in addressing the complex challenges currently facing the nonprofit sector in Massachusetts and beyond.

Our Process

From idea to impact, our process is designed to be efficient, practical, flexible and strategic for nonprofits.

About Us

Conversation

The grant process begins with confidential conversations with the Initiative Manager and the participating nonprofit organizations. These discussions help assess readiness to explore a potential collaboration and determine whether the organizations are prepared to move forward.

1

Grant Application

Based on the initial conversations with the nonprofit organizations, a completed application will be reviewed by MassCollab. This due diligence will consider each organization’s mission, financial considerations, and the collaboration's goals.

2

Funding

MassCollab grants can fund costs associated with the exploration or implementation of collaboration. Exploration grants support the development of a formal timeline, business model and implementation plan, with funds directed to third party costs such as legal, financial or consulting services. Implementation grants can provide resources to execute the plan including third party costs where necessary.
